To ensure a safe and optimal movement experience, we recommend arriving in form-fitting athletic wear. Clothing that fits closer to the body allows your instructor to clearly see your alignment and monitor your form. Please avoid oversized, loose, or baggy clothing; flowing fabric can easily dangle, tangle, or get caught in the springs and moving components of the apparatuses, potentially causing a serious injury. Additionally, ensure your apparel has no sharp edges like exposed zippers or metal studs that could damage our specialized vinyl upholstery. For your safety, claw hair clips are not allowed while lying on the equipment, as they prevent proper neck alignment on the headrests. Lastly, grip socks are a mandatory requirement for all classes and movement within the studio.
-
Yes, they are. For your safety and the hygiene of our community, grip socks are mandatory for all classes and movement within the studio. Specialized non-slip socks keep your feet firmly planted on the apparatuses, preventing slips during high-intensity sequences. Because our Merrithew gear is shared across an intimate community, keeping feet covered ensures our upholstery stays completely pristine, clean, and hygienic for the next mover. Grip socks are available for purchase in the studio!

To preserve the flow and focus of our practice, please arrive on time. For your safety and the security of those in session, our studio doors are locked exactly 10 minutes after class begins, and late entries will not be permitted. Warm-ups are essential to prevent injury on the apparatuses, and late arrivals disrupt the community experience. If it is your very first class with us, we kindly ask that you arrive 10 minutes early so we can properly orient you to the equipment and review safety guidelines. Please allow yourself extra time for parking so you can transition smoothly into your practice.
-
Yes, you are welcome to bring your cell phone into the workout space, but we kindly ask that you keep it completely silenced to preserve the focus and flow of the session. If you choose to record or take photos during class, please be mindful of those around you to respect the privacy, comfort, and experience of your fellow movers.

For the first 10 Weeks of pregnancy ou are welcome to join our standard group classes, but please inform your instructor about your pregnancy. Postpartum Pilates
Pilates is an excellent, low-impact way to rebuild core strength and support recovery. At the Six, we tailor exercises specifically to your body's changing needs and healing process. We encourage you to move slowly, honor your limits, and listen to your body. Please get medical clearance from your doctor before returning.
